2012 Commitment to Service Award |

 For the eighth consecutive year, the Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club has the distict honor to host an evening
of fine dining on March 9th, 2012. This year we will honor Ms. Ellen Brooks for her commitment to service
benefiting
her fellow man. Over the past seven years we have gladly welcomed many esteemed members and
noteworthy organizations from the Montgomery community to gather with us to help roast our honorees. This year will be no exception, and we expect record attendence for this event! For 2012, our ticket sales, corporate
sponsorships
and proceeds from our silent auction will raise over $17,000. These funds will be used to provide Mental Health America - Montgomery with funds to build a greenhouse and start a Horticulture Therapy Program and also the Child Protect Advocacy Group funds to replace the very old and worn carpeting in their facility used to assist children.

The Commitment to Service Award |
|
The Commitment to Service Award is held each year by the Sunrise Rotary Club to honor an individual in the Montgomery / River Region area for their efforts and achievments in serving their community. This award ceremony includes a fine dining dinner and a Roast of the honoree by several individuals who have known them for some time and can share with us some of their memories of the relationship they have with our honoree and have a little laugh at their expense as well. The evening also includes a silent auction as well. Funds raised by corporate sponsorship, ticket sales and the silent auction are used to support a specific charitable organization who is also a part of the evening's events, sharing information and images of their work.
